Are you our new Executive Chef Hot Kitchen?
Gate Gourmet is looking for you, a team manager and operationally skilled chef that knows how to ensure the quality level for product and processes in the hot kitchen, including cold preparation and SPML preparation, smooth and effective staff planning according to forecast and internal agreements.
You should have a sense for what people want and find your ways together with your team. We already have the wings, come and help us fly and create a little bit of magic. The journey has just begun.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
The position will be a part of the Gate Gourmet “Operations dedicated core team” and have a direct reporting line to Process Owner Assembly and a dotted line to Executive Chef Scandinavia.
The top priorities to focus on would be:
- Short and long term planning of workload
- Staff planning to develop, build and maintain all functions at all times
- Define, implement, and optimize work processes and tool working techniques
- Sanity check for new developed menues
- Ensure smooth cooperation with cold kitchen, as well as other areas of Gate Gourmet
Qualifications and competencies to be successful:
We are looking for someone who has experience of working as a chef with a minimum of 3-5 years as Head chef and/or executive chef at high end culinary restaurants. Working experience within large kitchens or catering is required, an it is expected that you possess the understanding of people management and modern leadership. This is shown through your proven skills in inspiring others, influence people to excel in operations, and show enthusiasm when it comes to achieving goals as far as target numbers etc and working together with your team as well as top management.
We believe you have a management education, Associate/Bachelor degree in the Culinary Arts or a related field.
